Quickball / Backyard Ball (Age 3)

Our 3-year old parents who are eager to have their kids playing ball will enjoy this fun and fast-paced Division.

Coed teams are formed by mid-March and will meet once per week on Saturdays at the Quickball field.  Unlike older age groups, there are no coaches.  Parents will be practicing and playing with their child each week following an age-appropriate curriculum.  USA Quickball equipment will be used to ensure a safe and fun environment.

Players will not need to purchase gloves, bats, and helmets.  Players may opt to purchase baseball pants, socks, and cleats (rubber), but this is totally optional.  The League provides all players with a team hat and shirt.  Players will also receive a Quickball bat and ball.

Buddy requests are accepted and encouraged at this age level.

Quickball or Tee-ball?  Here's what our parents and coaches had to say...

"Quickball all the way. My son played t-ball last year, and I've coached many t-ball teams and prefer QB. The fast pace really kept the kids engaged."

"We LOVED the improvement to T-ball that Quickball provided. AWESOME experience this past season!!! It kept the kids moving and engaged. They all made so much progress in one season."

"We have done both. Quickball is more engaging for kids and parents as well as learning skills. We love it!"

A (Ages 6-7)

AA (Ages 8-9)

Our 8-9 year-olds take a big step from Coach pitch to Kid Pitch on the larger AA field (46/60).  Winter Training and a Pitching Clinic are typically available before the season starts to help players prepare and adjust to the new game format.  Players will continue developing individual skills and learn more rules of the game as it takes on a more "real" baseball feel.  Outs and runs are recorded.  Pitchers will need to pass a test to earn their "Pitching Pin" to ensure quality and safe pitching.  Coaches pitch in the first three games.  Beginning in game 4, coaches pitch the first two innings and kids pitch innings 3 and 4.  Coaches will pitch after ball 4 in all games.

Talent is spread evenly across teams which are formed by mid-March, have 10-12 players, and will typically practice / play twice per week on Saturdays and a weeknight at the "AA" field.  The season will run from early-April to mid-June.  Weather permitting, practices may begin in March.
